This paper examines the dual mechanisms of technology standard adoption and cross-border knowledge diffusion as primary drivers of international market integration. In an increasingly globalized economy, the convergence of industrial sectors depends not only on the reduction of tariff barriers but also on the harmonization of technical architectures and the fluid transmission of industrial knowledge. By developing an analytical framework that links technological compatibility with knowledge spillover dynamics, this study investigates how standardized platforms reduce transaction costs, eliminate information asymmetries, and foster collaborative innovation ecosystems across national boundaries. Using a comprehensive analysis of global industrial networks, we demonstrate that the alignment of technology standards accelerates both explicit and tacit knowledge transfer, thereby reinforcing supply chain linkages and promoting market co-movement. The research highlights the strategic role of standard-essential patents and international standard-setting organizations in shaping the competitive landscape. Finally, we provide empirical observations on the automotive electric vehicle charging sector and the telecommunications industry, illustrating how divergent standards can fragment markets, while unified standards catalyze integration. The findings offer valuable insights for corporate strategists and policymakers seeking to navigate the complexities of international trade and technological governance in the digital era.References
